Leader Bio:
The Rev. Kelly M. Irish is a native of Ohio and considers Akron his hometown. After graduating from the University of Akron in 1980 with a B.S. in Education, Kelly spent an exciting year growing in the Lord doing mission work with Youth With A Mission (Y.W.A.M.) in the Netherlands, England & Greece. After returning home, Kelly took a position at a local bank in Akron as a consumer loan representative where he worked for nearly five years. During that time he explored a call to the ordained ministry. When God confirmed He was calling Kelly into ministry, he enrolled at the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia in the fall of 1985 and then graduated in 1988 with a Masters in Divinity. Kelly was ordained to the priesthood in 1989 and has served as Associate Pastor in parishes in Akron and Virginia Beach, Virginia. In June of 1996, Kelly accepted a call to become the pastor of St. Anne’s and has enjoyed leading this congregation through some exciting and challenging times. He and his beautiful wife, Marie (from Canton) have three grown children; Chas, Kenan & Molly. The Irish family resides in Painesville.

St. Anne in the Fields Anglican Church History
St. Anne’s is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled, Anglican church, committed to upholding the historic teaching of Christianity expressed in the Bible, the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds, and the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion.
St. Anne’s was established as a mission of the Episcopal Church, in the Diocese of Ohio in 1904, received full parish status in 1998 and faithfully sought to serve the Lord in Lake County and beyond. We remained an Episcopal parish until November of 2005.
Over the past 30-40 years it became increasingly clear that the denomination of the Episcopal Church (TEC), through continual and particular apostate decisions and actions, was moving further and further away from Biblical and historic Christianity. Unfortunately, and against the strong protest from within, TEC and even from the leaders of the wider Anglican Communion and Christendom at large, the Episcopal Church showed no intention of changing its schismatic course.
After many years of protest, struggle, prayer and heartache, St. Anne’s made a difficult, but prayerful decision to officially disassociate from the Episcopal Church. Wanting to remain true to the biblical faith and connected to a majority of the rest of the worldwide Anglican Communion, we sought and received episcopal oversight from Frank Lyons, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Bolivia in the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone. This enabled us to remain true to the “faith once delivered by the saints” and also a full constituent member of the Anglican Communion.
Then in 2010 St. Anne’s was transferred into the Anglican Church in North American (ACNA), a recently established Province for Anglicanism in North America, a growing amalgamation of congregations and clergy who have left the Episcopal Church over the years because of its increasing apostasy. St. Anne’s is now a member church in the Diocese of the Great Lakes in the ACNA, and Rt. Rev. Roger C. Ames is our bishop.
Finally, our decision to disaffiliate with TEC was not without its consequences. Nearly three years after we left, the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio and TEC filed a law suit against us and five other former Episcopalian congregations. The litigation carried on until the summer of 2011, when an Ohio judge overseeing the case finally ruled that the five congregations needed to turn over certain possessions and our respective church properties to TEC, which we did in the fall of 2011.
However, as the doors to our property closed, God opened another door for us and provided us with a place to carry on our life and ministry as a congregation. Cornerstone Friends Church in Madison, Ohio, is graciously renting ample space for Sunday worship, classrooms, offices, and storage. We praise God for our friends at Cornerstone and will remain here until the He shows us the next place He has prepared for us to go.

I ask for...
I ask you neither for health nor for sickness, for life nor for death; but that you may dispose of my health and my sickness, my life and my death, for your glory... You alone know what is expedient for me; you are the sovereign master, do with me according to your will. Give to me, or take away from me, only conform my will to yours. I know but one thing, Lord, that it is good to follow you, and bad to offend you. Apart from that, I know not what is good or bad in anything. I know not which is most profitable to me, health or sickness, wealth or poverty, nor anything else in the world. That discernment is beyond the power of men or angels, and is hidden among the secrets of your providence, which I adore, but do not seek to fathom.
