Leader Bio:
Our Rector, the Reverend Canon Kenneth Owen Davis is a cradle Anglican Christian who gives thanks to God for his formation in the Faith by his parents. Ken was born and raised in Toronto until his parents moved the family to Oshawa, and he finished High School there. In his teens Ken trained as a Lifeguard, was certified as a Scuba Diver in and served in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets.
Ken had a renewal and reaffirmation of his faith when he was 19. He attended Queen’s University in Kingston, receiving a general B.A. with Philosophy as his Major. After graduation Ken moved to Toronto, was married and worked in Television and Radio advertising until hearing a call to explore training for the Anglican Priesthood. He attended Wycliffe College –the Anglican Evangelical seminary that is part of the ecumenical Toronto School of Theology. He graduated with an M.Div. and was ordained a Deacon by the Bishop of Toronto in 1986. Ken was ordained to the Priesthood in 1987.

St Augustine's Church History
Services were held at the local schoolhouse by 1897. St. Augustine's was built in 1898 on land donated by Robert and Mary Richardson. A new church at Canterbury (later known as Drummond) was built on land donated by Mr. Robert Richardson and was consecrated on December 3, 1899 by Bishop Charles Hamilton. The 60th anniversary of St. Augustine's, Drummond was celebrated on October 7, 1956. A service was held in 1998 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of St. Augustine's. Since 1967, Drummond has been a part of the two-point parish of Perth.
