Her diary, "The Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska: Divine Mercy in My Soul", as well as the Divine Mercy image painted under her supervision, have inspired Catholics around the world to a devotion to Divine Mercy. Saint Faustina's Feast Day is October 5, commemorating the date of her death in 1938 at the age of only 33. Saint Faustina was the first saint canonized in the new millenium by Pope John Paul II.
