Who we are
St. George's is the Episcopal church in west Asheville. We are an intimate congregation with members from many of the surrounding communities. The members describe their parish as welcoming, caring, sharing, compassionate, open, joyful and diverse. This congregation loves to sing. The goal of our music program is to provide music and words that reach heart and soul; that stretch mind and spirit; that speak of the presence and love of God through Jesus; and that remind us of our mission to share that love with others. Our recently remodeled sanctuary is accessible for everyone. We encourage people to be comfortable during our services. St. George's is open to everyone seeking spiritual companionship in the fellowship of the Christian Faith.

Come Lord Jesus!
Lord Jesus, master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas. We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day. We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us. We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom. We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence. We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light. To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!"
