Who we are
Vision
To be a community living in the risen Christ; to offer God our worship; to grow in God’s strength and grace; and to be a channel of God’s love for others.
The Vision
It says that we are a community, a group of people who rejoice in being Christian and who may have a wide range of views on what that means. From evangelical to traditional, we worship together and respect one another’s right to hold different opinions on a wide range of topics.
Objectives
We worship in services both contemporary and classical, with music likewise from the 16th to 21st century. Our Director of Music plays music from many genres, directs the choir at St. James’ and collaborates with a volunteer at St. Mary’s. About 18 in number, the choir leads the worship at the 11:00 am service at St. James’.

St. James' Anglican Church History
St James Church, was built over 175 years ago and continues as one of the distinctive landmarks in Hudson. Located in Hudson Heights, just west of the town centre, it boasts beautiful views of the Lake of Two Mountains. The church is named after the first minister of the parish James Pike and the iconography in the one of the stained glass windows is of St James the Greater and his distinctive symbol of the shell which would be familiar to anyone who had participated in the Camino in Spain.

Open our ears to hear
Blessed Lord, open our ears to hear what Thou speakest and our eyes to see as Thou seest. Give us hearts to beat in sympathy with Thine at the sight of every little child; and above all, our Lord, to understand and experience how surely and how blessedly Thou fulfilest Thy promise, "Whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."
