Who we are
St. James Episcopal Church is an exciting, parish re-plant serving Jesus Christ in the Fair Haven Heights section of New Haven.
Together as people of Christ, we go forward in the tradition of being an intercultural and inclusive church community where truly EVERYONE is welcome: no matter your race, background, social status or orientation, this is your home!
We meet every Sunday to praise the Lord, hear from the Lord's Word and partake of Communion at 9:30 AM. We enthusiastically invite everyone to come worship and as a part of our worship, help us share the all-inclusive, healing and powerful love and grace of God.
We also have the distinction of having a priest, our very own Mother Barbara who is our Missional Pastor, play the drums in our joyful worship band! Come check it out!

Light of the World
Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth... may we begin to see the world in the light of understanding you give us. As you chose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest news the world had ever known, so may we worship you in meekness of heart. May we also remember our brothers and sisters less fortunate than ourselves in this season of giving. Amen.
