St. James Service Times
Sunday
Holy Communion
Quiet service to begin the day with biblical sermon but no hymns. On the first and third Sunday of the month we join the other congregations for worship at 10 am.
Every second and fourth Sunday at 8:00 AM for ¾ hour
Morning Worship
Worship for all ages from a few weeks old to the nineties in a friendly, welcoming, relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. Includes Holy Communion on 1st and 3rd. Sunday. Contemporary sung worship with music group, good biblical teaching, aiming to engage with God and each other and with practical application! The children have their own groups during the sermon and intercessions time. We don't tut or scowl at children or their parents!! Everyone welcome. Crèche for us is a corner at the back with toys, etc. that parents can use if it helps - there isn't a supervised crèche; we're all in this together!
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Evening Service
"Traditional" yet relaxed and friendly; hymns from the hymnbook accompanied usually by the organ. We sing the canticles but say the rest of the service. Biblical sermon every week, too. There is no evening service on the first, third or fifth Sunday of the month as we all meet together at 10 am then.
Every second and fourth Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
Thursday
Weekday service
Our Thursday morning communion service has a committed and faithful congregation who welcome you to join them in the chancel of St. James. No music but a short biblical sermon and a friendly welcome every time!
Every Thursday at 10:00 AM for ¾ hour
It's been more than 8 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.
