Who we are
Who we are…
St. John’s is the oldest building in Sodus, New York that is still used for its original purpose. St. John’s supports our community through fellowship, community service and breaking bread together. We offer a wide range of outreach and religious activities. As our motto states, St. John’s is here for our community in whatever capacity we are needed.
Please came and join us for fellowship, friendship, support and healing.
The Episcopal Church is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. We are both Catholic (true to the historic Christian faith) and Protestant (reformed and evangelical). This walk in the middle way is a hallmark of Anglicanism and of the Anglican Church in the United States, known as the Episcopal Church. You are welcome here with all of your doubts and questions! Fellowship
At St. John’s we like to be with each other, and to do things together! Whether it is a potluck, crafting after coffee hour, or flipping pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, our social fellowship is lively and enjoyable. The food is always great, and we treasure the opportunity to get to know one another in a social context.
Opportunities for fellowship include: Men’s Group, Women of St. John’s, Lectors, Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Acolytes, Altar Guild, Ushers, Choir and Acoustic Music Group.

"I would rather train twenty men to pray, than a thousand to preach; A minister's highest mission ought to be to teach his people to pray."
