Who we are
The inception of the parish dates back to the episcopate of Bishop Joseph Khoury, gaining momentum under Bishop Paul Marwan Tabet, who sought assistance from the Congregation of Maronite Lebanese Missionaries (Kreimists). Guided by missionary Father Charbel Geagea, the project thrived, drawing devoted parishioners. Starting in 2014, the presence in the west of Montreal has grown from scattered families to over 330, gathering weekly at Saint John the Apostle Parish to uphold rituals and preserve Christian traditions. Initially, the inaugural mass at Saint-Barnabas in Pierrefonds marked a temporary phase, anticipating a larger church. Marie Reine de la Paix hosted Sunday masses until September 2015. Noteworthy events include the first Holy Week at Saint David in 2015, with over 800 attendees during Palm Sunday and Easter celebrations. Parish life thrived at Marie Reine de la Paix, leading to the formation of committees and activities fostering a familial spirit and supporting the church. In July 2018, Patriarch Bechara Boutros Al–Raî inaugurated Saint David as the new church. Owning the church became essential, and after extensive efforts, Saint-David was acquired in December 2022. This parish project, alongside the establishment of a monastery, lays the foundation for future goals: establishing a convent for Saint John the Apostle, serving families with missionary priests, testifying to roots, and fostering community, youth development, and compassion-driven initiatives. Join the parish's journey as it becomes a haven of hope, love, and support, welcoming all without judgment.

Let no darkness overtake me
Visit, I beseech thee, O Lord, this habitation with thy mercy, and me with thy grace and salvation. Let thy holy angels pitch their tents round about and dwell here, that no illusion of the night may abuse me, the spirits of darkness may not come near to hurt me, no evil or sad accident oppress me; and let the eternal Spirit of the Father dwell in my soul and body, filling every corner of my heart with light and grace. Let no deed of darkness overtake me; and let thy blessing, most blessed God, be upon me for ever, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
