Who we are
We are an Anglican Church, belonging to the Anglican Church of Canada, The Diocese of New Westminster, and the Deanery of North Vancouver. We are also a member of the North Vancouver Ministry Region, which includes Anglican and Lutheran Churches on the North Shore.
Our main worship service is at 10:00AM on Sunday morning. It is a family-friendly service, with music, choir, and Holy Communion. We use the Anglican Book of Alternative Services. We are a contemporary and Spirit filled worshipping community.
The service of Compline is held Wednesday nights at 7:30. This is a quiet, contemplative service, with candlelight and music. You don't have to "do" anything in this service except be present. If you are looking for time to be quiet and rest in the presence of God, this is the service for you.
Weddings and funerals are developed with families – each service is unique for the occasion and reflects the family’s needs and wishes. These special pastoral services are published for each occasion.
We have many groups and activities throughout the week. We hope you will explore and find something that catches your interest.

St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Service Times
Our main service of the week is Sunday morning at 10:00am. This is a service of Holy Communion (the sharing of the bread and wine). Our services include wonderful music from Galina our Music Director and our choir led by Christie. Most Sundays, the order of service is taken from the Anglican Church of Canada's Book of Alternative Services. Several times a year we have contemplative services. Occasionally we share our morning service with our Anglican and Lutheran neighbours.
It's been more than 8 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

St. John's offers a fun and exciting Sunday School and Youth Program every week! We have a dedicated team of volunteers currently running the programming. We base our lessons on 'Seasons of the Spirit', 'Godly Play' and the readings of the day. Sunday School runs from approximately 10:15 - 11:00 am. Children and Youth come back upstairs for Communion.
During Sunday School, children aged 4-12 have a Sunday School lesson, story and craft.
Youth (12 and up) have a separate lesson/discussion and craft as well. Sometimes both groups work together!
Children and Youth also participate in Christmas and Easter activities that range from performances, gingerbread house decorating, sing-a-longs and Easter egg hunts. We have also had sleepovers, pizza parties and bowling throughout the year! Children and Youth are welcome to share their ideas about what they'd like to do and are encouraged to bring friends to all activities as well!
