Pot of Gold
This is a children’s club for ages 6-11years which started its 7th cycle at St Johns on 25 January for 13 weeks finishing on 10 May. We had seven girls and three boys register. The children learn how to express their feelings which are mixed up in a safe place with people who care and listen. Through the story of Joseph in the Bible they learn about his crazy mixed up family. It was evident that God was with him in the pit, the prison and finally all the way to becoming rich and powerful as Prime Minister of Egypt. They have lots of fun with the crafts and games and also enjoy the food we provide. From the parents evaluations it seems the children are better able to handle their feelings and as a result their self esteem is improved and their confidence grows.

We met ‘accidentally’ at a Wednesday Communion service and after a brief discussion put the idea to Steve. He agreed. We began with eight and have increased to twenty-two who come if they can....mostly they can!! No one is too old or too young to join us. We meet at 10.45-11.45 each Wednesday and welcome anyone of any age, who wants to ask questions and join us on our voyage of Discovery.
We have a lot of fun!
