Who we are

Leader Bio:
Fr. Joseph Thomas, born on March 10, 1975, in Kerala, India. After completing his priestly formation at St. Peter’s Seminary in London, Ontario, Canada, he was ordained to the priesthood at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 14, 2008, by Most Rev. Archbishop Anthony Mancini.
For the last 16 years Fr. Jose has worked as a priest in the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth before moving to All Saints Parish in the diocese of Victoria in Ladysmith and Chemainus in 2023.
As a priest, his love for the celebration and administration of the Holy Sacraments is fundamental. Nothing gives him greater pleasure than administering first-hand excellence in pastoral/spiritual care to parishioners and their families. Coming from a versatile community and having dealt with peoples of all cultures, different beliefs, and faiths, Fr. Jose has great compassion for the poor and needy, skills to work with the sick and dying and ability to provide comfort in crisis situations and peace to the distressed.
He truly believes and strives to invite a parish community to live their gifts through development and commitment with a personal relationship and life encounter with Jesus Christ as the true answer for a fruitful renewal of his parishioners.
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
(Mother Teresa)

Let no darkness overtake me
Visit, I beseech thee, O Lord, this habitation with thy mercy, and me with thy grace and salvation. Let thy holy angels pitch their tents round about and dwell here, that no illusion of the night may abuse me, the spirits of darkness may not come near to hurt me, no evil or sad accident oppress me; and let the eternal Spirit of the Father dwell in my soul and body, filling every corner of my heart with light and grace. Let no deed of darkness overtake me; and let thy blessing, most blessed God, be upon me for ever, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
