Who we are
The Parish of St. Joseph the Worker in Carasi, Ilocos Norte was established in 2004 with Rev. Gregorio A. Apuya as the first pastor. Carasi is a land-locked town situated in the eastern border of Ilocos Norte. It has an area of 157.48 km2. Vintar is situated in the north of Carasi, Calanasan in the east, Nueva Era in the south and Piddig in the west. It is in the foot of the Cordillera Mountains. The parish is composed of 6 barangays, namely: Angset, Barbaqueso and Virbira (Carasi); San Julian (Solsona); and, San Antonio and Santa Maria (Piddig). The parishioners are Ilocanos and Isnags. Following Rev. Apuya to serve as pastor are (in order): Rev. Danilo L. Devaras, Rev. Philip Anthony R. Dimagiba, Rev. Derrick Paolo B. Rabanes, Rev. Tranquilino T. Santos, Jr., and the present pastor, Rev. Howard Lee Orland A. Baliton.
