Who we are
St. Mark's Episcopal Church welcomes visitors, including children, to worship with us at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings. All baptized people are invited to join in the sacrament of Christ's Body and Blood. Young people attend Godly Play sessions during the early part of 10 AM service, then join the whole congregation for Eucharist. Whether you are visiting the Mystic, Connecticut area, have moved to the Groton, Connecticut region, or are searching for a church home, please join us for Sunday worship and other activities!
Fr. Adam Thomas joined St. Mark's as our Rector early in 2014. He is an outstanding preacher, a published author (Letters From Ruby; Digital Disciple), and well-liked by everyone from preschool through senior citizen.
St. Mark's Church is located at 15 Pearl Street in historic downtown of Mystic, Connecticut. Our mailing address is St. Mark's Church, 15 Pearl St., Mystic, CT 06355. St. Mark's Episcopal Parish is the only Episcopal Church in Groton, Connecticut, the town of which the village of Mystic is a part.
During the summer (from Labor Day Weekend through Memorial Day Weekend), please join us for Lemonade on the Lawn, an opportunity to get to know each other after the 8 AM and 10 AM Sunday services. At other times of the year we meet for Coffee Hour in the Undercroft, just downstairs from the Sanctuary.
Most Sundays we have Adult Forum at 9:00 AM, between the two worship services, usually led by our Rector. On special occasions, such as a Bishop visiting, the Adult Forum is led by a visitor. There is an active Youth Group, an Adult Choir, a Children's Choir, and a Bell Choir to augment worship services. During Christmas and Easter services we usually have musicians, such as a string quarter, present special music. We are proud of our pipe organ, expertly played by David Tubbs, our Director of Music.

Teach us to serve Thee
Teach us, good Lord, to serve Thee as Thou deservest: To give and not to count the cost; To fight and not to heed the wounds; To toil and not to seek for rest; To labour and not ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do Thy will.
