Who we are
St. Martin’s is an Anglican Church that embraces both the best of our tradition and new ways to worship as community. We offer spiritually nourishing liturgy that opens us up to relationship with the Holy. Our worship is sacramental and liturgical, embracing the celebration of Holy Communion, Holy Baptism, and the other rites of the Church (Reconciliation, Confirmation, Marriage, etc.). In addition to worship, we gather for prayer, study, community and service to others. We ask questions and we explore our faith with openness, candor and freedom. Faith is a journey, and we seek to travel together compassionately, respectfully and joyfully. Our mission is the Good News of Jesus Christ; our work is the building of the Kingdom of God;and our hope is peace and love made manifest in our lives and in the world.
At this time, we are looking ahead to building our new church home. This space is envisioned as one that will not only be a place of worship, but a vibrant space used every day of the week to meet the needs of our community and neighbors.
Our Mission: St. Martin’s is a witness to the ministry of Jesus, where clergy and laity join together in offering our gifts for the work of God. St. Martin’s is an oasis from the bustle of every day stresses, where life-giving, intergenerational and multi-cultural relationships are formed and nurtured. Together, we celebrate and witness the passage of our lives, grounded in the heritage of Anglican Christian spirituality, sacraments and practice.
Our Vision: As a community, we strive to be present in the lives of those in need, fulfilling the Christian duty to serve. We create new forms of life-giving relationships, in collaboration with individuals and groups who are also responsive to those in need. We seek to connect people in a growing community to ministries for all age levels, and to discover opportunities for creating interconnections between Christ, our congregation, our community and the environment.
