St Martin's Service Times
Sunday
Holy Communion
Our early morning service uses the traditional Common Worship service and there is a short talk but no music.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM
Cafe Church
This service usually lasts for about one hour. It is a less formal service when we sit around tables instead of in rows and enjoy coffee and Danish pastries. It is aimed at all people but especially for those who have little experience of church; for building conversation and friendships with people we wouldn’t usually meet and talk to; for families to sit together and share activities; and for exploring new ways of worshipping, praying and thinking about God.
Every first Sunday at 10:00 AM
Holy Communion
This service usually lasts a little over an hour. We use the modern Common worship service, and most of this is projected up on a screen, although paper copies of everything are still available! The service includes hymns and songs from a wide tradition, usually accompanied by CDs although sometimes we do have ‘live’ music.
Most Sundays, there is a Sunday club for school-age children who join us at the end of the service. There is also a crèche for the under-fours. Refreshments are provided after the service so that we can all have the opportunity of some fellowship as well as worship together.
Every second third fourth and fifth Sunday at 10:00 AM
Holy Communion with Prayers for Healing and Wholeness
This service usually lasts for about an hour. We use the modern Common Worship service and there is usually a reflection on the gospel or on the theme of wholeness and healing. After communion has been received there is the opportunity to receive prayer and anointing, and also to hold others in God’s healing presence.

Grant me, O Lord, to know what I ought to know,to love what I ought to love, to praise what delights Thee most, to value what is precious in Thy sight, to hate what is offensive to Thee. Do not suffer me to judge according to the sight of my eyes, nor to pass sentence according to the hearing of the ears of ignorant men; but to discern with a true judgment between things visible and spiritual, and above all, always to inquire what is the good pleasure of Thy will.
