St Mary Coptic Orthodox Church History
The first liturgy for St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church of Ann Arbor was celebrated in December, 1993. Five families consisting of 14 members attended. Fr. Mina Essak prayed the first liturgy in a rental church. Today, the church consists of a very dedicated group of families committed to overseeing the new church building project. The congregation has purchased a 12-acre parcel of land located on Dixboro and Joy roads on the northeast side of Ann Arbor. Our future church design and site planning stages have been approved. All services are currently held at our temporary rental location at Northside Community Church, 929 Barton Drive.

Forgive us
O God, forgive the poverty and the pettiness of our prayers . Listen not to our words but to the yearnings of our hearts. Hear beneath our petitions the crying of our need.
