Who we are
Welcome to St. Mary's
There are so many ways to get engaged. St. Mary's is a safe place to explore your faith. In Christ, we are a welcoming and inclusive community that knows and shares the love of God and serves those in need.
Who We Are
In Christ we are a welcoming and inclusive community that knows and shares the love of God and serves those in need.
The members of St. Mary’s have always been part of the progressive, liberal theology of the Anglican Church, but we also enjoy the traditional settings of services mixed in with more contemporary fare. The parish welcomes all equally – young, older, single, families, LGBT persons, or otherwise. Our current congregation is a joyous mix of “cradle” Anglicans, members baptized into other denominations and faiths, and newcomers to Christ.
We are a medium-large parish with a friendly congregation. We have a variety of worship styles and education programs to help people grow in their faith. We are active in outreach, have a significant amount of programming that supports the parish community life and builds relationships amongst our parish family.
Our average Sunday morning attendance across the three different services is approximately 200 people. We welcome newcomers as well as those returning after time away. Please introduce yourself to us and let us know how we can get to know you better.
St. Mary’s Kerrisdale is one of 80 parishes in the Diocese of New Westminster.

St. Mary's Kerrisdale Service Times
Sunday Services
8:00 am Quiet Service
At 8 am we gather to worship God, using the traditional Book of Common Prayer. This is a quiet, said service using traditional language and featuring short organ pieces before and afterward. Holy Eucharist (Communion) is shared by this small group of faithful parishioners at the high altar, typically kneeling or standing at the altar rail.
10 am Family-Friendly Service
During the summer, instead of a 9:15 am & 11:15 am service, we have a joint 10 am service. Our 10 am service is contemporary and family friendly. Our ministry team leads us through a joyful celebration of God’s life-giving Eucharist. Music at this service is more contemporary with hymns. Sunday School is provided for the month of July during the summer, with the children starting in the service and then rejoining families during the Eucharist. Summer Sunday School may involve travelling across the road to the Faith House playground.
After the 10 am service we gather on the front lawn for lemonade and fellowship.
It's been more than 7 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.
