Who we are
Welcome to St. Matthew’s!
We warmly invite you to take a few minutes to look around our site http://www.saintmatts.ca, get to know us a bit and learn a little of what we’re all about. Of course, the best way to get to know St. Matthew’s is to come and meet us in person – we’d love to have you come by for one of our worship services, or just pop by the church office during the week to meet our ministry team.
There is a great deal of chaos, stress, and pain in our society, and around the world. At St. Matthew’s we have come to experience the difference Jesus Christ makes in our lives and we aspire to share Jesus’ love with one another, in our community, and around the world. A man named Philip was once so excited to meet Jesus he went and told his friend Nathanael all about it. Nathanael was skeptical, but Philip persisted, “Come and see (for yourself).”
We offer you that invitation to journey with us to see the difference Christ can make in your life.

Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth... may we begin to see the world in the light of understanding you give us. As you chose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest news the world had ever known, so may we worship you in meekness of heart. May we also remember our brothers and sisters less fortunate than ourselves in this season of giving. Amen.
