Who we are
St Michael’s is a family oriented parish offering worship services, programmes for adults, youth and children. We are also a parish that seeks to serve the Newlands community through programmes like “Mainly Music”, "Alpha" and community based events with other churches in the area. We offer both traditional and contemporary worship style and endeavour to be a warm, friendly and welcoming community.
The 10am service is a family service with a mix of hymns and worship songs led by a music group. There are children's programmes run at the same time, as well as a crèche and children's library, though young children are welcome in church, and parents should feel free to go in and out of the church as often as they need. This service normally runs for around an hour, with a sermon, readings and communion and is followed by morning tea in the hall.
At each service all who are baptised are welcome to take communion with us.

During the 10am service our young people around the ages of intermediate and junior high school get together for their own time of friendship and discussion. Called the "believers" group, it's a fun and friendly way to get to know other young Christians, and discuss topics important to them.

... to reflect Your love
Lord, make my life a window for Your light to shine through and a mirror to reflect Your love to all I meet. Amen.
