Everyone is invited to drop in, call by, or stay for the full half hour to join in prayers for the work of the church here in Balsall Common, and for the concerns of the Parish and people living here. Each week the themes will be published in the newsletter but there will always be space for prayers for things that arise in the day, or are brought to the group. Meet in the church!

Outreach Services at Harper Fields Care Home
We offer short services with Communion at the new Care Home in Balsall Common, together with the Methodist Church (Methodists Second Friday, and CofE on Fourth Friday of each month)
Every second and fourth Friday at 11:00 AM for ½ hour
"SWITCH" in the Hall
A new way of approaching Family Worship, messy church and other less formal church activity in the Hall. Suitable for families with young children, the worship lasts about 45 minutes, followed by refreshments. The 'contemporary style' worship is all very informal, with activities for all ages and needs but includes songs, teaching and prayer ....
Look out for the warning notice outside the church in the week before it. We are also beginning "cafe church" either within the SWITCH service or at other major festivals, in the church building. We try to advertise these in advance, with a new Poster and every third Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour
Bumps & Babies
A new venture for 'new and expectant mums' - meeting weekly in the comfortable space in the Baptistry at the back of the church - good coffee, home made cake, and mutual support.
Except in half term and school holidays every Friday at 10:00 AM for 1½ hours
CAP Money - Christians Against Poverty
St Peter's seeks to use the 'CAP' approach of budget advice and training to help people manage their income and outgoings when money is short - supported by a Christian faith and advisors: we run a series of 2 or 3 training sessions on 'how to live on a budget' using the approach of "Christians Against Poverty" - free!!! We will run this whenever there are people who need it ...... Please contact Moira Johnson (01676 532389) to indicate your interest.

Parish Prayers
Everyone is invited to drop in, call by, or stay for the full half hour to join in prayers for the work of the church here in Balsall Common, and for the concerns of the Parish and people living here. Each week the themes will be published in the newsletter but there will always be space for prayers for things that arise in the day, or are brought to the group. Meet in the church!

We meet, for as long as needed, or as long as you can spare to join us, in the Baptistry of the church to pray for our work and those around us
Every Tuesday at 9:00 AM for ½ hour
House Groups
A number of groups meet as 'house groups'. There are occasional Bible study meetings and a prayer group, but the most regular occur on Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday . That on Tuesday evening began as an introductory group for those approaching confirmation or recently confirmed, ('Refresh') held in the Baptistry, and for more robust discussion there is "Exploring Faith", usually at Templars Cottage, at 7.45 pm (Wednesdays) or Wilton Road (Tuesdays). Sunday evening's group began with a group of 'young Mums' and has continued to grow and welcome new members. There is also a regular group that meets every Wednesday at the church in the Baptistry, at 10.00 am. All are welcome and no preparation is required! 'Refresh'
A discussion group, for those recently confirmed or who want to start exploring their faith and the Bible, meets in the Baptistry for one hour only! No prior knowledge or preparation required.
Alternate Tuesdays! Ring 01676 532389 for details or to confirm! Now back in the Baptistry with the comfy chairs. The course will next be on 26th Jan, 9th Feb, and then fortnightly from then (alternate weeks!)

Wednesday
Midweek Holy Communion
Holy Communion (using Common Worship) - followed by a Study Group in the Baptistry

Friday
Bumps & Babies
A new venture for 'new and expectant mums' - meeting weekly in the comfortable space in the Baptistry at the back of the church - good coffee, home made cake, and mutual support.
Except in half term and school holidays
Every Friday at 10:00 AM for 1½ hours
Outreach Services at Harper Fields Care Home
We offer short services with Communion at the new Care Home in Balsall Common, together with the Methodist Church (Methodists Second Friday, and CofE on Fourth Friday of each month)
Every second and fourth Friday at 11:00 AM for ½ hour
Play and Stay
A chance for Mums and pre-school children to get together for creative activity and self-help support in a church-based environment. There are toys, refreshments and a programme of planned activities (and some unplanned) !
Term Time only: closed at half-terms
Every Friday at 1:30 PM for 1½ hours
Saturday
Coffee Together
The 'Churches Together' group in Balsall Common welcome all to a regular event at the Jubilee Centre, in the village centre, on Saturday mornings, for coffee (or tea) and home made cakes, and to meet members of our congregations
Every first Saturday at 10:30 AM for 1½ hours
