Who we are
We are a growing community of all ages and stages of life and love to make new people feel welcome. Many people have found a spiritual home at St Stephen's over the years, some with previous experience of church, others with none. Our hope is that everyone coming in through our doors will be welcomed, make friends, and discover more of God's grace.
Our vision at St Stephen's is to be "a people empowered by God's love, joining God in renewing all things". This means the 'ABC' of our life together involves adoration - growing in our experience and understanding of God through worship and prayer; belonging - growing in the quality and depth of friendship we enjoy with each other; and community - growing in generous acts of service and love to our neighbours at work, at home, locally and globally.
As a church we have helped to reinvigorate and relaunch (sometimes called 'church planting') five other church communities - All Souls St Margarets, St Saviour's Sunbury, The Ivybridge Estate, St John's Hampton Wick, and most recently, St Paul's Hounslow West.

St Stephen's, Twickenham Service Times
9.00 am service
This follows a more traditional liturgy than our other services, making use of hymns, classical music, contemporary worship and time for quiet reflection. Holy Communion takes place on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month and refreshments are served after the service.
10.30am service
This is an informal, friendly service starting with coffee and pastries, popular with young families. It is usually the 'busiest' of our Sunday services, with Crèche available for 1-4s, Kids Church for 4-11s and Younger Youth for 11-14s. From time to time we have an All Age service - where all ages stay in the church building throughout - with a theme and style that is accessible for children. The 10.30am service usually ends around 12.00pm and Holy Communion takes place on the second Sunday of the month.
6pm service
This is an informal, contemporary service, popular with all ages and consciously aiming to engage with the emerging generation. Worship is led by a band and we make use of multi-media. Tea and coffee is served at the end of the service and Holy Communion takes place on the fourth Sunday of the month.
Midweek services
On the second and fourth Thursday of each month we have a Healing Service at 10.30am. On the fourth Thursday, Holy Communion is part of the service. Prayer ministry is available at the end of the service as are refreshments.
SEASONAL services
We also have a number of specific services at different times of the year including; the Service of Light, where we remember those we love who have died, Christingle and Carol services during Advent and meditative services during Holy Week.
It's been more than 10 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

Under 18s:
Younger Youth – Sunday Mornings & Monthly Friday Nights
Younger Youth meets at The Venue during the 10.30am Sunday service. We have challenging teaching, awesome worship, play fun games and watch stupid video clips. This term we'll be looking at Youth Alpha - please see term cards for more info. Younger Youth also have Friday night socials joint with Generator which are designed to provide a safe and fun environment for our youth and their leaders to get to know each other – do see the term card on the right for details. Friends are always welcome!
Older Youth – Sunday Evenings & Thursday Nights
The 6pm Sunday service is the main meeting point for the Older Youth and we would love to encourage them to bring friends too. Older Youth also meet weekly on Thursdays at The Venue, 30 Crown Road. These Thursday nights are the equivalent for the Older Youth of what a mid-week Life Group provides for adult members of St Stephen's. The evenings include worship, short talks, ministry and small group discussion or a creative response. Please see term cards for more info.
Generator
Generator is a popular social club for school years 7-9 (year 6 can join at Easter) that happens in the Crossway on alternate Fridays from 7.30pm to 9pm and is open to all the community. No week is ever the same at Generator - you might spend a Friday night learning to DJ, or hanging out on a Viking boat. It's a fun, safe place to start the weekend. Please do check out our term cards on the right for more details.
