Who we are
St. Thomas' Church is located in the heart of the historic village of Shanty Bay, on the north shore of Lake Simcoe. You will find us at 28 Church Street in Shanty Bay. Ours is one the oldest churches in the area, serving a parish bordering the city of Barrie, the 15/16 sideroad of Oro-Medonte township, the villages of Shanty Bay, Oro Station, Hawkestone and rural areas in between to our northern border of the 12th concession. We celebrated our 175th year of continuous ministry in 2013.

We gather for worship, hold special events, and seek to live in creative and Christ-like relationships with God, our brothers and sisters, and our neighbours throughout the world.

Love me, Lord, just for today
Lord, for tomorrow and its needs, I do not pray; Keep me, my God, from stain of sin just for today. Let me both diligently work, And duly pray. Let me be kind in word and deed, Just for today.
