Leader Bio:

The Rev. Dr. Guy Collins hails from the United Kingdom, where he studied for his M.Theol. at St Andrews University, Scotland. Guy also holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge for his dissertation on philosophical theology. He was ordained within the Church of England, first working in London before moving to the US. Guy is the author of the recent publication, The Goldilocks God: Searching for the via media (Rowman & Littlefield, 2022) as well as Faithful Doubt: The Wisdom of Uncertainty (Cascade, 2015). In addition to ministry at St Thomas, Guy is the Episcopal Chaplain to Dartmouth College.

Guy is fascinated with the questions and the questioners of theology and faith. He has taught at seminary and college and enjoys teaching both for Osher@Dartmouth and within the parish. He loves all movies and stories that make us think and question the reality of the world around us. Guy enjoys finding connections between fields as diverse as medieval hagiography, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the self-professed atheist and author of His Dark Materials, Philip Pullman. Married to an archaeologist, Kristin, they have two daughters, Lyra and Beatrix.

St. Thomas is just down Wheelock Street (west, toward Vermont) from the Dartmouth Green. Edgerton House is on School Street, not far from St. Thomas.

Parking

Sundays and Holidays

Those attending Sunday services at St Thomas can take advantage of various parking facilities in downtown Hanover.
Metered parking spaces are free on Sundays. Metered parking is enforced Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

Available Parking Lots:
• There are 8 available parking spaces at Edgerton House (See The Edge on the map)
• Coldwell Banker (see Lot 5 on the map) and Theta Delta Chi (see Cemetery Lane on the map) allow St Thomas church-goers to park in their lots on Sunday mornings only.

Holidays: There is free parking at all meters and in the parking garage at 7 Lebanon Street on holidays observed by the Town of Hanover.
College Lots: Anyone can park in college parking lots on Saturdays and Sundays.

Weekday Parking

On weekdays, there are six or so free parking spaces in The Edge parking lot. On-street metered parking and the public garages are available at various hourly rates.
