Who we are
Tansley United Church was "planted" in 1986 to serve the thriving and growing community of north Burlington. We are a mix of young families, empty-nesters, singles and seniors.
Our Mission:
To be an enthusiastic, Christ-centred family, journeying in faith, looking in, reaching out.
Our Purpose:
To grow people of faith who participate in God’s work in the world.
Our Vision:
We believe that God is calling us to do serious leadership development work among lay members of our church in order for us to have a strong core of spiritually formed persons with leadership gifts, potential and experience.
We believe that God is calling us to make a shift from the mentality of paying dues/taking a collection to learning the deeper meaning of offering and stewardship as the spiritual practice of growing in generosity.
We believe that God has called us to deepen our practice of adult Christian faith formation in order to help both those who are new to this church and those who have been involved for some time to grow in their faith.

We worship Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
We offer each Sunday morning:
A multi-age children's program
Fellowship time with refreshments following the service
Throughout the year, we celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We also celebrate Baptism on a regular basis.

Under 12s:
Infants (0-2 years)
With so many young families in our area, babies form a special and much-loved part of our congregation. All of our services feature:
a Nursery connected to the sanctuary so you can still listen to the service
rocking chairs at the back of the sanctuary for nursing mothers or parents with restless infants
Children's program (3-12 years)
Our Sunday morning program for children aged 3 years to Grade 8 features a multi-aged curriculum led by teams of trusted volunteers who love kids.
Children start the service in the sanctuary with their families before leaving after the Children's Message. Parents can pick up their children after the service
