Who we are
The Anglican Parish of St. Aidan & St. Bartholomew is located on BC's Sunshine Coast, in Gibsons, a little town made famous by "The Beachcombers". It is part of the Capilano-Kingcome Deanery situated in the Diocese of New Westminster.
St. Bartholomew's was established in 1892 under the auspices of The Rev. H. G. Fiennes-Clinton, then Rector of St. James', Vancouver.
St. Aidan's was established in 1935 under the auspices of The Rt. Rev. A. U. De Pencier, then Bishop of the Diocese of New Westminster.
In 1993, construction began on a voluminous modern multi-functional complex which includes a hall, kitchen, office space and sanctuary.
This complex incorporates the original historic building of St. Bartholomew's, restored as the Bethlehem Chapel.
We have been worshipping together and serving the wider Gibsons community ever since! All are welcome to come worship with us!
