Who we are
The Church of the Holy Spirit is a faith community welcoming all. We gather to worship together each Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. for the Said Eucharist and at 11:00 for the Choral Eucharist.
During the summer months (Sunday July 7th until Sunday September 1st inclusive - with piano accompaniment) a service blended with Peace Lutheran will be held at 10:00 a.m.
We are dedicated to continue the mission of Christ on earth; to be continuously renewed by celebrating the life of Christ through worship, witness and example; to grow in faith through preaching, teaching, administration of the sacraments and fellowship; and to share our time, talents, and possessions to serve others. We do all these things out of love for Jesus, who said, "This I command you, to love one another."
This congregation confesses the Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - as the one true God. We acknowledge that the gospel is the revelation of God's saving will and grace in Jesus Christ, which He imparts through word and sacrament. Through these means of grace the Holy Spirit creates believers and unites them with their Lord and with one another in the fellowship of the Christian Church.
Our services follow the six seasons of the church year (Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost) and the lectionary, a set list of Bible readings for the year.
The Anglican Church of Canada works and talks with many other churches through ecumenical dialogue or joint programs. We have a unique full communion relationship with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
The church programs consist of ... an active choir and regular weekly Bible Study, a variety of social activities and services to the community with many outreach programs. The church is also wheelchair accessible.
