Leader Bio:
Rev. Rob Burns has been the Lead Pastor of The Gathering Place at NSBC since September 2020. He came to our church after working for the past 20 years in Philadelphia, PA.
In Philadelphia, he was the Lead Pastor of Realife Church in the Bridesburg neighborhood. Realife was planted in 2005 in response to needs in the local community. For the next 15 years, Pastor Rob and Realife did ministry in many different ways, including a coffee shop, a charter school, sports programs and more. During this time, The Gathering Place supported Rob and Val as missionaries.
Pastor Rob graduated from Cairn University and completed a master’s degree through Western Seminary. He’s been involved in church planting and consultation, counseling, mentoring emerging preachers and developing and leading discipleship systems.
Pastor Rob has been married to Val for 20 years, and they have 4 children. In his spare time, Pastor Rob loves to watch sports, coach and play basketball, ride motorcycles and eat good food.

Our Ministry: A specialized Ministry to accommodate the Deaf in their own language, and understanding through Sign Language to serve the Lord together. The Deaf Ministry provides the Deaf opportunities to fellowship, learn and grow spiritually on a weekly basis.
We hope we see you in our Deaf Ministry soon! All scheduled Deaf Ministry and Church events are signed, interpreted, voiced, or voice interpreted.
