Welcome to the Parish of St James, Clacton, with St Christopher, Jaywick
We are a Church of England parish located in the popular seaside resort of Clacton-on-Sea, on the Sunshine Coast of Essex. We are part of the Diocese of Chelmsford and are under the spiritual care of the Bishop of Richborough.
The parish stands within the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England. We meet for worship on a Sunday and during the week, and we offer both traditional and more informal services. Our worship seeks to place an emphasis on Bible-based preaching and on sharing together in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Music is an important element of our worship.
A warm welcome awaits you at all of our services and events at St James’ and St Christopher’s.
