Who we are

Triadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church

A small group of Adventists decided a church was needed in the Clarksville area of Howard County. They purchased the land in 1970 and, after a major fund raising and building project, they began worshipping in our current sanctuary in June 1976. Today we are a congregation of about 250 members. We come from various parts of the world but are united as a family by our Location, our Beliefs, and our Mission.

What Seventh-day Adventists Believe

As a Christian church, we are rooted in the teachings of the Bible. It is our only standard of faith and practice. Adventists also believe that salvation is available, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, to everyone who accepts His gift. For information on specific doctrines, visit: Adventist.org

Seventh-day Adventists are a Worldwide Family

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant Church with approximately 21 million members worldwide. We operate 173 hospitals and sanitariums and more than 9,400 schools around the world. The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) works in more than 130 countries to provide development and disaster relief.

Triadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church Q&A

Question: Where are we located?

Answer: 12950 Brighton Dam Road, Clarksville. You can park along the edge of the driveway as you enter or in the lot at the top of our hill. All parking spots are pull-in, and we do have a few handicapped spots.

Question: What can you expect?

Answer: Once you park, you can enter our church through the front double doors under the A-frame roof. A friendly greeter will welcome you, answer any questions you might have and direct you to where you want to go.

Question: When does our service start?

Answer: We have on Saturday Mornings a outdoor worship service starting at 8:30 a.m, followed by Bible Study classes that start at 9:30 a. m., then after the Bible Study Classes there is an indoor worship service starting at 11:00 a.m Saturday mornings with music. For Bible Study classes, we have classes for every age group, and even Burmese and Spanish classes. During the Summer and Fall, we have a outdoor class and an outdoor worship service.

Question: How long do worship services last?

Answer: About 80 minutes.

Question: What is the style of worship?

Answer: Our service is more traditional. Our worships include Bible-based preaching by some of the best Biblical scholars, plus special music from the organ, piano, orchestra, choir, vocal groups and soloists, and the congregation.

Question: What should I wear?

Answer: A majority of men prefer to dress in a suit and tie or business casual. But others will be wearing jeans and a polo shirt. You’ll see women wearing dresses or slacks. Children wear everything from casual to dressier attire. But what you wear will not matter to us. Just come, be comfortable, and let’s worship together.

Question: Is there anything for children?

Answer: Yes! We strive to make our church a safe place for kids to enjoy learning about Jesus. Bible classes are offered for all ages from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. In that hour, kids learn a Bible lesson for the day, sing, make crafts, and hear nature and mission stories.

Question: What about food?

Answer: We invite our guests to join us after the service ends for a special meal in our Fellowship Hall. Our dish offerings are as multi-cultural as our church, so you will not leave disappointed or hungry!

Triadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church History

In 1967 a small group of Seventh-day Adventists decided to start a church in the Clarksville area of Howard County. Within two months they organized into a church with 50 charter members. They first met at the Old Westwood Methodist Church on Triadelphia Road, and later the Glenelg Methodist Church on Burnt Woods Road for their Saturday morning services.

Highlights through the years include:

July 1970 - Purchasing the Land April 15, 1973 - Groundbreaking 1973 – 1976 – Construction – beginning with the “parsonage” wing. Early members climbed through the rubble of the basement on Wednesday evenings to the room below the living/dining area of the apartment for prayer meeting. June 7, 1975 - First Baptism. The baptistry was in place, but the roof was not finished. Participants remembered “the sky was clearly visible through the open roof.” December 1975 – Sabbath Services began in the downstairs Hall June 5, 1976 – Worship Services were first held in the sanctuary. Former member Dennis Crews, creator of the stained-glass window, wanted to “create a mood of worship and reverence, yet with power and grandeur – a spiritual exuberance.” The window continues to draw all eyes. It inspires - calms our spirits – refreshes our souls. May 10, 1986 – Church Dedication. Ten years had past before the debts were finally paid and members could celebrate the dedication of this church facility. God had led. He gave them miracles, encouragement, committed hearts, and a steadfastness that kept them believing in the mission.

SINCE THAT DAY OF DEDICATION Triadelphia has been A family to most, A haven for some, Food for the hungry, Water to the thirsty, Dessert for all of us.

The power of Christian prayer Come Lord Jesus!
Lord Jesus, master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas. We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day. We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us. We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom. We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence. We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light. To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!"
