Who we are
Welcome to St Meddan’s Parish Church
Worship is at the heart of our life here and our weekly services are relaxed and suitable for all ages.
Whether you have recently moved to Troon, are on holiday or are looking to establish/re-establish church connections we would be delighted to welcome you into our family for Sunday Worship to hear God’s Word and experience and learn more of his love for us all.
Our day begins with our family worship held at the Meadowgreen Centre on Deveron Road, in the midst of our parish. We have a welcoming cup of coffee or tea, and either muffins, doughnuts or something similar ideal if you havent managed to catch some breakfast beforehand. We begin formally at 9.30am with a contemporary feel, yet still teach a biblical message. This is informal worship with a relaxed attitude to children.
Later, at the church, you will find we are a warm friendly congregation and you will feel at home in God’s house as soon as you are greeted at the door by our Welcome Team.
Our Sunday Service at 11am is attended by around 200. It is led by the Minister with support from members of the congregation. There is a mix of traditional and modern worship supported by the use of visual aids for the hymns, bible readings and the children’s address.
We have an active Junior Church which the children go to part of the way through the service and a crèche facility is available throughout the service.
After the service we have tea and coffee available in the Pentland Hall with the opportunity for a chat.
We have many organisations which meet in the Church Halls during the week involving our congregation and the wider community.
As part of Troon Churches Together we enjoy working with other Churches in the town for Joint initiatives.

Listen, my friend!
Listen, my friend! Your helplessness is your best prayer. It calls from your heart to the heart of God with greater effect than all your uttered pleas. He hears it from the very moment that you are seized with helplessness, and He becomes actively engaged at once in hearing and answering the prayer of your helplessness.
