Who we are
Our church is organized around a Council and these Ministries: Community/Mission/Justice, Spiritual Growth, and Worship. Each meets monthly to conduct the business of the church.
The Council consists of a Board (Chair, Vice-Chair, Past Chair, Clerk, and Financial Officer) and members-at-large. It provides overall guidance to further the ministry of our congregation, creates an overall plan for the church and its future, oversees financials, and adopts needed policies and procedures.
The Community/Missions/Justice Ministry is responsible for activities such as Monthly Birthday Dinner, UNICEF Collection, Camp Scholarship Fund, Love Fund, and offerings which support local community groups and wider world missions such as Heifer International and Habitat for Humanity.
The Spiritual Growth Ministry coordinates adult and children’s Sunday School, Bible and book studies, Lenten mid-week worship, our library, youth activities, and prayer circle.
The Worship Ministry is responsible for worship oversight, liturgical dancers, weekly bulletin, coverage for pulpit and music, ushers, communion, fellowship and flowers.
In addition, we have, as part of Community, a Women’s Fellowship and three Circles—1, 7, 8.
The Women’s Fellowship provides funeral receptions and lunches, as well as certain specific needs such as maintenance of the kitchen and supplies, and organizes seasonal events.
The three Circles do visitations, remembrances for the sick and shut-in, monthly devotions, and gatherings to strengthen our church family.
Some church activities are:
Birthday Potluck Dinners on the third Friday of the month, 6:00 p.m.
Angel Outfitters Thrift Shop in the church basement.
Hours: Tuesday & Thursday 11 to 2 Wednesday 5-7 pm Saturday 9-2
Various Special Services during Lent, Christmas Season and other church holidays.
Love Offering Fund and Blessing Bags used to help those in need.
Prayer Circle to address concerns and celebrations of our congregation and community.

I want to know Thee
Father, I want to know Thee, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys. I cannot part with them without inward bleeding, and I do not try to hide from Thee the terror of the parting. I come trembling, but I do come. Please root from my heart all those things which I have cherished so long and which have become a very part of my living self, so that Thou mayest enter and dwell there without a rival. Then shalt Thou make the place of Thy feet glorious. Then shall my heart have no need of the sun to shine in it, for Thyself wilt be the light of it, and there shall be no night there. In Jesus Name, Amen.
