Who we are
In 2004, a few Central Texas families felt led to plant a new church in Bell County—not because there were no good churches in the area, but because even with so many good churches there were still so many people who still didn’t know Jesus.
These families had a vision for a church that was simple, hospitable, and diverse—a church where rich and poor, and black and white and brown, and de-churched and over-churched and un-churched people could experience the love of Jesus together.
Vista has grown over the years, but the original vision remains. We want to love God and love people by living and sharing the gospel. We want to stay faithful instead of compromising, simple instead of extravagant, focused on blessing the world rather than becoming absorbed with ourselves. We’re a church for sinners, so if you’re a sinner, welcome! You’ll fit right in. Our history is still being written, and we’ve always got room for more.

Come Lord Jesus!
Lord Jesus, master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas. We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day. We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us. We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom. We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence. We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light. To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!"
