Who we are
Willow Creek Church is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) located in Winter Springs, Florida, and serving its nearby communities in the Orlando area.
Our Beliefs
Willow Creek Church, as a Christian congregation, affirms the orthodox, historic faith taught in the Scriptures and articulated in both the Apostles' Creed (c. 180 AD) and Nicene Creed (325 AD).
We hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith (1647 AD), including the Larger Catechism and the Shorter Catechism, as sound reflections of our belief, subordinate to the supreme standard of God's Word, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
Beyond this, we sometimes use five descriptors to describe Willow Creek Church. Although not exhaustive, they provide a clear snapshot of our identity. Christian
First and foremost, we are followers of Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We believe that he is God, the second person of the Trinity, and our only redeemer. This is our ultimate and essential identity: children of God by his grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. In this regard, we are united to all true believers throughout space and time, in heaven and on earth. Our denominational affiliation and convictions on secondary matters do not undermine or overshadow our fundamental unity with the universal church. Evangelical
We unashamedly and graciously preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, the good news that salvation is by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. We want to live and share the awe-inspiring message of God’s love, mercy, and forgiveness.
Missional
We believe that to share the gospel in word and deed requires that we live on mission in our families, schools, workplaces, communities, and culture with a posture of grace and peace. We long for members to have vital and loving connections in their communities, sharing the light and love of Christ with their neighbors. Reformed
We are striving to be thoroughly biblical in our understanding of and approach to discipleship. We affirm that Scripture, and Scripture alone is the highest authority in faith and practice. Searching the Scriptures, we hold to the apostolic and biblical teachings concerning God, humanity, and redemption recovered during the Protestant Reformation. Presbyterian
We believe that the Scriptures clearly teach a governing structure for the church, and we enthusiastically embrace it: Presbyterianism.

Ministries for Children
Our Willow Creek Children's Ministry comes alongside parents and families as they seek to help their children experience and express the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Toward that end, we offer several welcoming environments to encourage and equip your children to know and serve the Lord with passion and grace.
Likewise, your child's safety is of utmost importance to us; we complete background checks on all of our ministry volunteers and are continually developing and reinforcing our safe practices policies.

Willow Creek Church History
Our History
Willow Creek Church was founded in 1983 under the oversight of nearby Orangewood Presbyterian Church in Maitland. As a Christ-centered, community-oriented ministry, Willow Creek first organized in private homes and then a storefront at the Red Willow Plaza.
From those humble beginnings and a faithful core of charter members, God grew Willow Creek Church and blessed her with a new and more permanent location on East Lake Drive. With praise to God, the Willow Creek Church family grew and has been growing ever since—in love for God, one another, and their neighbors.
If you're looking for a church home, we'd love to have you join us for Sunday morning worship or another of our ministry offerings. We'd even love to prepare for your upcoming visit ahead of time. Simply drop our Pastor of Families and Connections, Drew Taylor, a brief note to let us know when you plan to join us!

Come Lord Jesus!
Lord Jesus, master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas. We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day. We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us. We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom. We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence. We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light. To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!"
