Who we are
OUR VISION
Woodlawn exists to restore community by building Christ centered families.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in Christ’s command to go and preach the gospel and strive to live it with compassion, love and mercy.
We believe in one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) who created the heavens and the earth. He chose to reveal Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
We believe in baptism by immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:3-6; Acts 2:38.)
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in other tongues. (Acts 2:4)
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His church through the spiritual gifts of: tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. (Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11)
CORE VALUES
Vision: We invest in and promote the next generation.
Worship: We cultivate an ethic of worship.
Excellence: We humbly and passionately pursue excellence.
Family: We are home for the whole community.
Serve: We grow by serving with integrity and love.
Hope: We speak the truth and point to hope.
LOCAL & GLOBAL MISSIONS
Woodlawn is a kingdom minded community that invests in God’s work beyond our own borders; both in North America and across the globe.
Globally, Woodlawn has invested time and resources in the construction of Bible schools and Worship facilities in Togo, West Africa & San Salvador, El Salvador, while supporting financially & prayerfully over 85 missionary families.
Locally, Woodlawn has been a significant promoter of church plants and supporting the calling of North American Missionaries. Woodlawn has a burden to reach and build community with other cultures. This is accomplished through the Spanish daughter work in Hattiesburg, Iglesia Vida, and the monthly support of 6 other churches.

Sunday School / Children and Youth Activities
Under 12s:
Woodlawn Kids
Being a kid is not as easy as it used to be. They are faced with challenges that we, as parents, have never dealt with. If your kid is age 3 through 5th grade, they will begin to understand what it means to follow Jesus. On Sunday mornings, your kids will meet in the main auditorium of the youth center, sing songs, learn scripture, and understand Biblical principles through creative stories and multimedia. On Wednesday’s, your kids dive into smaller groups in which they get to have fun with traditional arts and crafts or even join the Kid’s choir! The future is bright with Woodlawn Kids.
