Word of Life Church, located in Dubuque Iowa, is a Spirit-Filled Nondenominational Church.
The vision of the church is to help people fulfill their divine destiny. God has a purpose to every person's existence. When a person gets connected to God and connected with His people, God begins to unlock this purpose and bring fulfillment in their life. We believe people from every race and from every background deserve to know God and His love.
Word of Life Church, Dubuque connects with God through: a personal and growing relationship with Jesus through reading and hearing the Bible (God's written Word.)
Word of Life Church, Dubuque connects with each other through ministries such as men's ministry, women's ministry, youth ministry, young-adult ministry, prayer groups, small groups, and church softball. Word of Life Church, Dubuque connects with our destiny through volunteering. People from the church volunteer both in the church and throughout Dubuque- making a difference one life at a time!
Word of Life Church, Dubuque values children and families and places special emphasis on ministering to them in our programs. Word of Life Church, Dubuque wants to take a person as far for God as they want to go. We offer several service and ministry environments with specific purposes. We offer Sunday morning services that are focused on Jesus and practically applying Biblical Truth. We offer Wednesday night services that allow believers to "go deeper" in understanding truths of scripture. We are also a campus for Life Christian University. This accredited Bible school equips believers and launches them into God's plan for their life. Any person at whatever stage of spiritual discovery or development can find something that fits their life and encourages them in the relationship with God!

Rev. Loren Hirschy has been the pastor at Word of Life Church since 1986. His passion is to help people connect with God and His plan for their lives. He is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, OK. Pastor Loren and his wife, Joy have have 3 grown children and 10 grandchildren.

The way, the truth, and the life
Lord Jesus, thou who art the way, the truth, and the life; hear us as we pray for the truth that shall make all free. Teach us that liberty is not only to be loved but also to be lived. Liberty is too precious a thing to be buried in books. It costs too much to be hoarded. Help us see that our liberty is not the right to do as we please, but the opportunity to please to do what is right.
