Leader Bio:
Pastor Josh has been at Zion since September of 2022 when he began serving as the interim pastor. Eight months later, in May of 2023, he received the call to shepherd Zion and the interim status was removed.
Josh is a native of Thomasville and the Hasty Community who graduated from Ledford High School in 1996. After high school Josh attended UNC-Chapel Hill and later earned his M.A. in Ministry from Carolina Graduate School of Divinity where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to his time at Zion, Josh worked as a residential contractor in the Triad and NC High Country before amassing 13 years of vocational ministry experience. Pastor Josh has a heart for people and God’s Word, loving people where they are and encouraging them to grow in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In addition to ministry Josh loves spending time with his wife Erin and four children: Charleigh, Grady, Kennedy, & Crosby. They enjoy traveling, especially to the U.S. National Parks, where they have made many lifelong memories together. Josh also closely follows his Carolina Panthers and of course his UNC Tarheels. Josh loves playing and listening to music and still ministers through music, mostly with the band Guilford.

Cooperative Community Ministry was established in 1995 as a coordinated way to help people in crisis. Several pastors and lay leaders saw a need for local churches and agencies to work together to provide assistance to those in need. It is a non-profit corporation governed by volunteer Board of Directors representing the Thomasville community.

Grant me, O Lord...
Grant me, O Lord, to know what I ought to know,to love what I ought to love, to praise what delights Thee most, to value what is precious in Thy sight, to hate what is offensive to Thee. Do not suffer me to judge according to the sight of my eyes, nor to pass sentence according to the hearing of the ears of ignorant men; but to discern with a true judgment between things visible and spiritual, and above all, always to inquire what is the good pleasure of Thy will.
