Who we are
Zion's Hill is a body of faithful believers living grace in a world desperately in need of grace. We are a Bible preaching, kingdom focused church of relentless love living radically in our community.
The Bible
The Bible is the infallible, Spirit-breathed, inspired Word of God which is given to us as a guide to reveal God and direct man on how to conduct oneself in a manner that is wholly glorifying to God. The Bible is the complete story of Jesus Christ, our savior, revealing to us His character and His sacrifice.
God
God is ONE Godhead in three persons. There are several examples in scriptures that show us that God is a triune God. The Godhead is the union of the Father (the invisible fullness of God), the Son (God manifest as flesh), the Holy Spirit (the interactive intercessor). God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy and, therefor, worthy of all of our praise. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. God created us, in His likeness and image for Himself. Mankind is created differently than all other things as in Genesis it states that God breathed into Adam the breath of life. This is the spirit man which exists in the body created from the dust of the earth (Genesis 2:7). Ergo, man is made up of both physical and spiritual being. This unique design separates man from all other living creatures. Man is an intelligent creature, held responsible by God, to a moral standard. There are two sides to man; earthly (flesh) and heavenly (spirit).
The Fall
Sin entered the world through the deceit of the fallen angel, accuser and adversary, Satan. Adam and Eve were led to sin by the serpent's argument, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” Though it is untrue that all misery in one’s individual life is a direct result of a specific sin in their life, all of human misery, disability, and sickness DID enter into the world as a result of Adam’s sin. The devastating results of sin don’t end there, however. The sad reality of sin is that it separates man from the communion with God that was established at creation. The bondage of sin, and therefor, the separation from the Creator applies to all of humanity. Salvation
Nothing we can do can earn us salvation... that is the bad news. The GOOD news is that Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is the universal body of Christ that was established upon Christ’s ascension into Heaven when He gave the command to “go and make disciples of all nations.” The mission of the Church is to encourage and stir up one another to be more like Christ, the head of the Church. The Church is to be a community that gathers together for encouragement, admonishment, and teaching the Word of God as well as to meet each other's needs as they arise.

Abide with us
O Holy Spirit of God, abide with us; inspire all our thoughts; pervade our imaginations; suggest all our decisions; order all our doings. Be with us in our silence and in our speech, in our haste and in our leisure, in company and in solitude, in the freshness of the morning and in the weariness of the evening; and give us grace at all times humbly to rejoice in Thy mysterious companionship.
