Who we are
We are a community of Christians living in the village of Ashdon and the surrounding area, in Essex. The church is led by our Minister Gavin Walter, who we called in September 2013. Gavin is a minister in training and studies one day a week at Spurgeon's College, London.
Our aim is to serve the Lord and the community in which we live as we worship God and witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Mission Statement
We believe it is God's purpose that this church maintains and develops its witness to Jesus Christ in this village and area. We seek to make Jesus known in deed and word as we serve all people in Christ's name. We work to encourage people to become believers in Jesus Christ as Saviour Lord and follow him as his disciples. We welcome into this family of God's people all who commit themselves to Christian discipleship and to the life of the Church of Jesus Christ.
The church is affliated to the Eastern Baptist Association and the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
We support world mission through BMS World Mission, with our Link mission family are Pete & Lizz Maycock and their children, Abi, Jacob and Cloe who work in Thailand.
