Who we are
An historic Free Church in rural location.
A GOSPEL PARTNERSHIP.
"Holding forth the word of life", we aim to bear witness through our lives as well as our words to the Good News of God's love, mercy and grace, revealed in the dear Lord Jesus.
We regard the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as divinely inspired, as the supreme and sufficient authority in matters of faith and conduct.

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

Bardon Park Chapel Christian Fellowship History
The origins of the Meeting go back to the year 1662 when the local squire allowed his moated home to be used as a meeting place for an "underground" (i.e. unlawful) church, following Parliament's attempt to enforce on single form of religious observance throughout England.
Following the 1688 "Glorious Revolution" when William and Mary came to the Throne of England, and the resultant 1689 "Act of Toleration", the Meetinghouse was built, probably in 1694.
The church was re-covenanted at Easter 1876 and the re-covenanted church affiliated to the Congregational Union of England and Wales. In 1972 the church joined with other churches to form the United Reformed Church.
The "Christian Fellowship" came into being in January 2000, as "a simple fellowship of Christians", a home for Christians of various traditions and denominations or of no particular denomination, and a place for sincere seekers to learn about the Christian faith and the call of God upon their lives.
The Fellowship works in association with the Bardon Park United Reformed Church.
