Who we are
Welcome to Bathampton Methodist Church
At Bathampton Methodist Church we seek to place the love of God, the teaching of Jesus and the guidance of the Holy Spirit at the centre of our lives and our worship.
Visitors have spoken of the warm, friendly atmosphere found within the Church. We would love to welcome you to our services, Coffee Mornings, or Emmaus Bible Studies.
Our services are held at 11.00 every Sunday morning, led by our own minister, other ordained ministers or local preachers. We use the ‘Hymns and Psalms’ book or ‘Songs of Praise’ and various Biblical translations within our worship. There is an opportunity for informal prayer in the Prayer Corner at the conclusion of each service. Anyone is welcome to share in the prayer or to give prayer requests to the group.
Our Wednesday Coffee Mornings, led by Judith, take place each week between 10.00 a.m. and 12 noon. Do pop in for a cup of coffee and a chat.
Our Emmaus Group for Bible study and discussion, led by Rachel our Minister, meets fortnightly on alternate Monday afternoons during term time from 2.00 to 3.30 p.m. The courses are usually based around a theme and are designed to offer opportunities to explore the Christian faith and discuss and learn with others.
The Church is situated in the centre of the village of Bathampton to the east of Bath and is part of the North East Somerset and Bath Methodist Circuit and the Bristol Methodist District.
Our Minister is always happy to be contacted about matters of faith, to arrange a visit, baptisms, marriages or funerals.
