Brigden United Church History
Brigden Pastoral Charge was established in 1925 when the Presbyterian and Methodist churches amalgamated. Brigden Methodist Circuit was established circa 1878, it included Waubuno and Bradshaw; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. Brigden Methodist Church was established circa 1878; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. Black Creek Presbyterian Church was established circa 1872; it closed in 1925.

Guthrie Presbyterian Church was established in 1884; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925 and joined with the Waubuno Methodist Church to become Calvary United Church.
