Who we are
“A family of faith that has a passion for God!” That pretty much sums up who we desire to be here at BPBC. We are a group of Bible believing Christians who want to share the love and peace of Christ with everyone!
Bible Based Belief
About God: He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has
existed for all eternity in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Trinity are co-equal and exist as one Triune God. Please read these verses for reference: Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19, I Peter 1:2 and II Corinthians 13:14.
About the Bible: It is the Divine Revelation of God. It was written by
men of God via the supernatural leadership of the Holy Spirit. It is
our supreme source for truth. Please read these verses for reference:
II Timothy 1:13, 3:16, II Peter 1:20,21, Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6 and Proverbs 30:5.
About Human Beings: Men and Women were created in the image of God and should strive to be like Him in character. While every person has the potential for excellence, we are all marred by an attitude of disobedience known as sin. Human beings, of their free-will, chose to disobey God and brought sin into the world. As individuals, we are responsible for our own understanding of the Bible. Additionally, we are each accountable for our personal salvation by accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior, professing our faith in Him and following Him
in Baptism. Please read these verses for reference: Genesis 1:27, Psalm 8:3-6, Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:23 and Isaiah 59:1-2.

Children's Ministry
The Children's Ministry at BPBC serves to minister to families with children. Our goal is to create partnerships with parents during each child's F.A.I.T.H. (Father, Assurance, i, Truth, Holiness) journey.
We firmly believe that the family is the primary place for discipleship and so, we provide resources along with opportunities for spiritual growth to take place in the home. We do children's ministry on Wednesday nights (CIA) during Bible Study and Sunday evening is Awana.

Brighton Park Baptist Church History
The journey of Brighton Park Baptist Church began on May 24, 1953. Through the support of Morgan Avenue Baptist Church as its mission-sponsoring church; a group of people began meeting first in a home and then moved to the Blanche Moore school building for the summer.
On August 23, 1953, Trinity Baptist Church met on the sawdust floor of the new tabernacle for the first time. Then in August of 1954, the first foundation was poured at 4825 Everhart and work was begun on the new building, the first phase of the Trinity facilities. Ground breaking ceremonies for the second phase of the building occurred on March 20, 1958, and the new educational space was soon completed.
On May 22, 1983, Trinity Baptist Church relocated to the current site at 3418 Airline Road . At this time, the name was changed to Brighton Park Baptist Church to reflect the new location and new beginning.
On August 15, 2004, members of Gardendale Baptist Church and members from BPBC joined together for a combined membership of 232 people.
On March 2, 2014, Stanley Duke from Oxford, Alabama was called to be Senior Pastor of Brighton Park Baptist Church and is currently serving in that capacity.
