Who we are
OUR VISION
God's vision is to win, build, and send. To win people over to the Lord through the sharing of the gospel message. To make disciples of them by building them up in the teaching of the word. For they are not born disciples they must be made disciples. They are then to follow the Lord's command and go share the gospel and make disciples. Through the studying of the word we learn to love God and love each other.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Matt 28:20
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

FOOD MINISTRY
Loving the Lord by feeding His sheep and tending to His lambs.
WEDNESDAYS
Sign-in starts at: 9:00 am
Food Distribution: 9 am until 11 am
Staple foods, fresh produce, and meat given to anyone in need.
Our mission is to care for those in our community. So besides giving out groceries, we are available to pray with and/or for you upon request.
OUR FOOD MINISTRY HAS BEEN ACTIVE IN OUR COMMUNITY SINCE 1997.
CALVARY CAFE
We could use three or four assistants to serve coffee and snacks every Sunday morning. Anyone gifted in hospitality is welcome to help in keeping the cafe clean, stocked, making coffee and tea, arranging snack displays, and clean-up and prep for the next service.
USHERS
There are several openings for men who would like to serve in Ushering. An Usher would be on hand to help seat people when seating is scarce, passing the communion plates, handing out literature or Bibles during a service, helping with set-up and take down of chairs during events, handling security issues when they arise, helping with light switching when needed, climate control, etc.
GREETERS
Smiling faces and welcoming hearts are desired to help greet attendees. Greeters would need to arrive early and stay at the doors to welcome, hand out bulletins, provide information about children’s classes and other concerns, handle sign-up sheets, etc.
HOSPITALITY
We could use many servants – women especially – who would be willing to be called upon to help with meals and events. Preparing attractive table settings and helping with plans for potluck events, showers, funeral dinners, and other events. Individuals who would be willing to coordinate and/or provide meals for those who are sick or in need. Hosts willing to open their homes to special guests – such as visiting speakers or missionaries for overnight stays.
ENCOURAGEMENT
Encouragement is needed for those who are sick and housebound, to make phone calls, to send notes, and to check-in on those who are out of fellowship.
HOUSEKEEPING
Four teams of at least two are needed to do housekeeping rotation one week a month.
GROUNDS & MAINTENANCE
Two to Four men are needed to keep grass and weeds cut at our interim location and the future campus. Two men are also needed to be called upon for light building maintenance.

Calvary Chapel Asheville History
During the 80s, the Lord burdened the heart of Billy Osigian to teach God’s Word.
In July of 1992, Billy and his wife Fran were thinking about moving anywhere between Louisiana and New Jersey. There were plenty of opportunities available to them but God had one region in mind, Western North Carolina. The Lord made their calling so clear that both Billy and Fran felt that not going to Asheville would have been in direct opposition to God.
Calvary Chapel Asheville was established in May of 1993.
