Our Mission
Central Baptist Church extends open arms and offers open hearts to those from all walks of life. As Ambassadors for Christ, our primary goal and responsibility is to groom Disciples of Christ.
We endeavor to achieve a supportive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages wrship, scriptural study and evangelism so that people might experience God for themselves.
We emphasize the importance of developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Savior.
And finally, we desire that people will go into their own communities and be an example of a model Christian who inspires others to join the fellowship.

Central Baptist Church History
Central Baptist Church is the 2nd oldest African American Church in Denver, Colorado ~only our “Mother Church” Zion Baptist (from which we came) is older. Central Baptist organized in the fall of 1891 with 30 members by the 1st Pastor Rev. W.P.T. Jones, M.D. Central has always been known throughout the United States of America as a church with and outstanding Bible-based Preacher, exceptional choirs and faithful members who strongly believe that “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” ~ Hebrews 11:1 The corner of 24th and California Street has served as a lighthouse for the lost for 126 years. “Let your light so shine before men so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven” Matthew 5:16
