Who we are
We are a church of ordinary people who have found that the Christian Faith gives us a foundation for life and joy.
We seek to make a place where anyone:
may find the truth of the gospel of Christ;
can bring their needs and aspirations and grow in faith;
will be supported by love and friendship in their journey of discipleship.
We have been here since 1904 and are part of the worldwide Methodist Church.
Our Sunday services are welcoming and known for lively music. We sing a mixture of old and new hymns. Children are welcome and catered for. Morning service is at 10am and we have about 60 people most weeks.
The evening service is at 6pm and both services are followed by tea/coffee and friendly chat in the hall, leaving the church free for anyone who wishes to pray.
Services are usually led either by a minister or by one of many Local Preachers who have taken training and exams to become accredited preachers, or occasionally by one of our various groups
