Christ the King History

The Anglican Parish of Fundy and the Lakes came into being on August 1, 2015 by memorial of Bishop David Edwards, Bishop of the Diocese of Fredericton. It is an amalgamation of the Parish of Simonds, the Parish of Lakewood and the Parish of St. Martins and Black River.

On Sunday, November 22, 2015, Bishop Edwards installed Canon Leo Martin as the rector of the parish and re-named the building of St. James Lakewood as the Church of Christ the King, this being the Parish church, and St. Thomas (Black River) given the status of a Chapel of Ease.

On Saturday, December 5, 2015, Bishop Edwards again visited the parish for the deconsecration of the church bulidings of All Saints (Loch Lomond) and Holy Trinity (St Martins).
