Who we are
The Vision
‘Proclaiming the fullness of God’s love’
We, as the body of Christ in this place, are called to love and serve him and one another.
We seek to carry out his mission, which is his call to each one of us, to the full so that others may have life and have it abundantly. In this way we seek to participate fully in the life of God.
We seek to live out and to share the grace of God – his wholeness, compassion and forgiveness – as we proclaim the immensity of the breadth and length and height and depth of his love.
We aim to carry this out by focussing together – as individual church communities and as a team – on a number of different specific areas of our ministry, areas in which we may all use our gifts and play our part. Areas in which we may all grow on our Christian journey in wholeness, compassion and forgiveness.
This will give us some goals and also some building blocks to help us on our way. But we shall never lose sight of that fundamental aim of service and participation in the life of God, and of ensuring that our church buildings and team lie at the heart of the communities we serve.
Hence we shall have a team vision but much of it will be ‘delivered’ locally as we strive after enabling ‘the local church in all its fullness’.
