Who we are
Welcome!
Hello and welcome to the Canadian Reformed Church of Cloverdale. We belong to the federation of Canadian Reformed Churches, with historical and theological roots in continental Europe, going back to the sixteenth century Reformation, whose aim it was to restore to the church the Biblical, Christian faith of the early church. Our focus is on Biblical and Christ-centered preaching, teaching, and outreach; covenantal and sacramental worship of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and holy living as a sacrifice of praise to our God for all his goodness and grace.
Our purpose here on earth is to glorify our God; to show our thankfulness to Him. We do this by doing what is right. Jesus Christ is the perfect example of what is good and right. Therefore our goal is to become more like Jesus.
Love is the greatest virtue and demonstration of the reality of Jesus Christ, therefore we strive to show a Christ-like love towards all men. God requires that we show love in our lives through our words as well as our actions. This can be achieved by abiding in Christ though His Word, prayer and fellowship, and the the work of the Holy Spierit in our hearts.
