Deaf Michiana Missionary Church History
DMMC started on the first Wednesday in October 1996 with a Bible Study. Then on December 7, 1997, we had our first church service to provide Deaf people with a place to worship and serve the Lord in a unique language God created: American Sign Language (ASL). The Word of God is presented using ASL storytelling and drama to make the Bible come alive.
We started out in a garage on the property of St. Mark Missionary Church. Then in 2005, we bought our own church building. Eventually, we outgrew that building and we needed a better place for our children to have Sunday School with other hearing children. Now we are meeting at Gospel Center Missionary Church. We rent a room there so we can still have our own service. God has brought us along the path He wants us to go.
On January 19, 2014, we had an installation service to welcome new Pastor Randy Pringle & his wife Amy (formerly from Milwaukee). We are excited to see what God has in store for us. God is good and faithful!
